Why Sandeep Amar Guppta.
"If spirituality gives me purpose and economics sustains me, then family is where both find their expression."
Two kinds of people advise families on succession. Accountants and lawyers, who structure the ownership. Coaches and facilitators, who work on the relationships. Sandeep is both.
He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant. For forty years he has audited family businesses, sat in their boardrooms and read their balance sheets. He knows what the numbers start doing when a family stops talking.
He also holds a postgraduate diploma in philosophy and religious studies, and is trained in interpersonal neurobiology and design thinking. That is what lets him run the conversation, not just the calculation.
He built a business himself, and lost it. What followed was a decade of rebuilding, not just the company but the thinking underneath it. When he tells a founder what life after handing over actually feels like, he is not quoting research.
Born in 1956 to a philosopher father and a spiritual mother, he describes himself, before anything else, as a family man. This is not a service he added to a list.
